Children's Baseball Skills and Drills

DS is a baseball fiend and can't wait for the season to begin. The snow is a bit of a hindrance in that regard, needless to say!
The solution? Indoor baseball. Here's the scoop:

"There are indoor baseball skills and drills classes offered at the Bob Abate Community Recreation Centre by the City of Toronto Parks and Recreation Department beginning on April 7th. (When you attempt to register the system may say the start date is April 14th, but it is April 7th, and this is being changed in the system.)

The classes will run on Mondays and be organized by ages as follows:
4 to 6 year olds – 4:45 to 5:30 pm: barcode 1487855 – the cost is $28 for six weeks.
7 to 10 year olds – 6:00 to 7:30 pm: barcode 1487856 – the cost is $38 for six weeks.
11 to 14 year olds – 7:30 to 9:00 pm: barcode 1487857 – the cost is $42 for six weeks.

You can register for these classes either in person at the Bob Abate Community Recreation Centre (485 Montrose Ave. just south of Bloor St.), over the phone or on the internet, as with other City of Toronto Parks and Recreation programs.
As these are City of Toronto programs, the Welcome Policy will be in effect. For hours of operation or for information regarding telephone or on-line registration, you can call the Bob Abate Centre at 416-392-0744.

In order for these classes to happen, we need a minimum of eight kids to be registered in each of the three classes by Monday, so if you are interested please don’t hesitate… contact the Bob Abate Centre or go in person to register. These classes will be a fun and helpful way for kids to get ready for our up-coming Toronto Playgrounds Houseleague 2008 season!"

Cheeers,
Vanessa
