Though the owners of Ballenford Books in Mirvish Village are neighbours who we pass nearly every day on the early morning shuffle to school and work, I did not realize that their bookstore was closing until I read it in this morning's STAR:

This is an unfortunate closure for the Annex community that caught me by surprise. It made me wonder how much can a community do to keep a bookstore open?
I cannot stress enough, please, support your local small business owners in the Annex!
