Hockey Sign-Up at Bill Bolton Arena

Most anyone who lives in the Seaton Village/Annex neighbourhood is familiar with the annual fall hockey sign up for the adult leagues at Bill Bolton Arena; the jostling in line, arranging your proxy, etc., (or, if you're me, getting the wrong day and forgetting your wallet). There is a lot of hype around this happening since there are a limited number of spots and many more adult hockey players. Note that this year you may send a proxy to sign up for you, but each person can only sign up one person. In the past one person standing in line could sign up multiple players. Also, note that the sign up is on a Saturday. MARK YOUR CALENDARS; the sign-up date is Saturday, April 12th at 9am for Women's Hockey (doors open at 8am), 11am Mens 35+; 1pm Mens 45+ and 3pm Mens 19+. If you are a woman and you can't make it don't be discouraged, I was #38 on the waiting list last year and got a call mid-September that there was an opening. Though, I have heard that the waiting list for the men's hockey doesn't move much. Good Luck!
