Singing In The 'hood

Hear that sound? There's a lot of singing going on in this area! I BLOGged about the Viva Youth Singers awhile ago, who make their home at Trinity St. Paul's Church on Bloor Street West near Spadina.

But, turns out, there's lots of singing going on a little east of there at Bloor Street United Church, too. The edifice at 300 Bloor Street West is home to a senior choir and a gospel choir. Don't let the name of the Senior Choir fool you... its members are age 15 and older. If you want to join, surf over to the website for details.

Cheers,
Vanessa

VIVA Youth Singers

Have a young person in your life who LOVES to sing? VIVA youth singers is a non-profit "choral organization" for children from four to twenty five years of age that's housed in Trintity-St. Paul's Church at 427 Bloor Street West.

Auditions take place in the spring and choristers join the group the following September, so if you're interested, you'd better contact them now.

As for the auditions, the website states : "Please remember that, more than anything, we are looking for children who love to sing!"

Cheers,
Vanessa
