S.M.A.R.T. Camp

File this one under our quest to "keep it local"... there's an interesting-looking camp setting up shop at Palmerston P.S. this summer.

S.M.A.R.T Camp is "a 3 in 1 programme that integrates math with co-operative and semi competitive games in a fun interesting manner. Arts and Crafts as well as educational toys and games are used to round out a programme...

"S.M.A.R.T. consists of two week blocks that culminate with a Gym-Math-Ticks event incorporating the math and physical skills covered in a mini-Olympic style format. Parents have described our ‘Sound Math in a Sound Body’ approach as “sliding education in through the side door.”

The cost is about $190 a week.
