This rolled into our inbox recently and I thought that if one person is interested, other people might be, too:
"Hello.
I live on Bridgman Ave, and I heard a rumor that there were art classes for kids at a school in a building where Howland meets Davenport Rd.
I know that is a little out of the annex, but I noticed on your site that you kind of cover things a little out of the annex. Anyway, I was wondering if you guys knew anything about this mystery art school?
Thank you so much!"
And here's Ginny's answer:
"Yes, the studio is run by Marty Gross and he is a film guy who teaches art classes for kids after school. I know a few Palmerston students who are enjoying his classes."
Cheers,
Vanessa

Art Classes And A Cookbook
Sign ups for kids' classes for the New Year are looming, so I thought I'd mention some neighbourhood art classes.
The Burrow Art Centre in Mirvish Village offers everything from sculpture, to drawing and painting, to paper art. Things kick off in mid-January.
For many years, Nusa at The Annex Art Centre on Bathurst just south of Dupont has been teaching art to neighbourhood kids. Her after-school classes begin the week school starts in January and she drops by the Palmerston school yard to pick up students, too. 416. 516.0110.
Neighbourhood artist Deb Wiles offers Marks of Perception , which are private and semi-private art classes. While on her site, I noticed that she sells an interesting looking cookbook, Recipes for people who like to eat food, for $15.
