Friends of Christie Pits Park

I know that technically Christie Pits is not in the Annex, but I was encouraged to hear that a neighbourhood group has organized to "take back the park". Christie Pits has had some problems over the years with criminal activity in the park especially last summer when several incidents of swarmings were reported by park users.

So, if you live in the area of Christie Pits or, like me, just love that park and want to get involved check out their website: www.christiepits.ca (They are especially interested in help with the site.)

Also, sign up to be informed of meetings and events: http://groups.google.com/group/friendschristiepits

For more information on this neighbourhood movement write: mail@christiepits.ca

The newspaper says that David Miller lives close to and passes High Park subway station every day on his way into work.

I would suggest leaving your garbage there at High Park subway station but at the Quebec Avenue entrance just north of Bloor Street West so you don't block the buses leaving from the High Park Avenue exit.

Please spread this around.
