The white trillium has been Ontario's official flower since 1937. Interesting, since there are not scads of them around. Perhaps because picking the flowers easily can kill the plant?
Anyway, there are patches of them in High Park that I've noticed and a set of them in a front garden in our neighbourhood.
Keeps your eyes peeled... they ARE lurking beneath those remaining mounds of snow and they should be in bloom in about a month.
