Word on the street is that the Loblaws at Christie and Dupont will be closing. In its place will be the mega huge REAL CANADIAN SUPERSTORE. Interesting. This is still somewhat of a rumor at this point, but the source is "somebody who knows somebody who works at Loblaws". Any additional news on this would be appreciated.
Also, moving east along Dupont closer to Bathurst on the south side is ALLIGATOR RENTAL; alligatorrental.com.
I recently threw a party and used Alligator Rental for plates, cups, wine glasses and silverware. In the end, renting didn't cost that much more than paper plates and it felt more environmentally friendly than throwing out a bunch of paper and plastic. The best part is you get to return your items unwashed! (One word of advice, always call ahead; even if you only want one helium-filled balloon.)
