Violence in our Neighbourhood

Just passed by Bloor and Brunswick in a cab to find crowds of people on the street and police cars and ambulances descending with urgency.
It looks like a young man was shot. I hope the outcome is not fatal.

I heard the shots earlier and didn't think much of it, thought it was just something else. Then I saw it on the news tonight on CTV.

A young girl was also hit by bullets in the foot and leg (the third and fourth shots?), a few houses south of Bloor on Brunswick. They didn't seem like too serious of wounds, so hopefully she'll be ok.

The woman who was injured was north on Brunswick. Nothing happened south of Bloor. The man was shot in the chest at close range. Suffered multiple chest wounds, blood was coming out of his back. Two of his companions fled the scene, only one stayed to help him after he collapsed. Tactical (SWAT) and K9 units were called. They searched the area for about an hour. I saw it all from my window.

Some of the officers were eating candy. I guess they've seen it all.
