This is out of our neighbourhood, but sounds like a great excursion:
Toronto Island Tour of Trees '08.
Join City Parks, Forestry and Recreation staff along with other Urban
Forestry industry leaders for an evening of light cycling and tree
talks. This gentle bike ride (approx 6 km) will take place on Monday
May 26 th and appears in both the Toronto Bike Week Calendar and in
the Toronto Parks and Rec Fun Guide and is supported by the Canadian
TREE Fund.
This year's tour will feature the usual tree I.D. of spectacular
Island specimens and will touch upon several other related areas of
urban tree care and awareness issues.
The tour starts at the Ward's Island Dock at 6:30 p.m. sharp. There
is a boat that leaves from the city at 6:15 and arrives at the Ward's
dock at 6:25 p.m.
