I was at a party on Saturday night and an Albany neighbour asked me what I thought of the new traffic light at the intersection of Howland and Dupont. She seemed a bit confused as to why that intersection needed a light and at the end of chatting she surmised it was just another random traffic light that backs up traffic on Dupont. I have mixed feelings on the light; while it makes crossing Dupont much easier by foot and car, it does back up the traffic on Dupont and it has also brought what seems like a great deal more traffic on the block of Howland just south of Dupont. Most cars appear to be speeding; maybe they haven't cooled down from catching the green light at Dupont? But my guess is if I ask anyone in the Annex on any street they will say it seems like there is more traffic, traveling at great speeds? Crossed Bathurst lately?
And there is the traffic light at Walmer and Bloor...
If you have a rambling or rumbling concerning these new additions to your neighbourhood, let us know.

The more pedestrian-friendly traffic lights, the better! Back up the cars, I say!
