For those of you who missed it, The Toronto Star ran an interesting article recently about area resident Graeme Gibson and dubbed him The Birdman of the Annex.
In the article, he mentions the waning variety in TO's bird population and, now that I think about it, I do remember seeing many more cardinals, blue jays and other, more colourful, birds in my Beaches backyard when I was growing up.
He also shares this ominous thought: "If you are a birdwatcher, you know the earth is in trouble."
