If you like cafes, and like me, miss the Urban Annex Cafe, then you will enjoy the EZRA'S POUND at Madison and Dupont (north side of Dupont). Ezra runs a cozy coffee spot with delicious pastries. My favourite are the mini pain chocolat. My only complaint is that it isn't closer to Palmerston School!
Also, worth a visit is PIZZAIOLO; pizzaiolo.ca taking over the storefront left by the Cheese Dairy on Bloor Street between Howland and Albany. Everyone in our family has found a pizza topping combination that has become their favourite. During the week you can get a slice and soda for $5.00.
